Well I've lost complete and utter faith in DA. Today I commented on a piece that was found on the front page. It really wasn't a good piece. It was lacking any kind of shading that wasn't burned, any highlights were dodged, and there was next to no textures, the proportions were terrible...and I could go on forever on why that piece should have been on the front page. And why was it? Because everyone loves disney characters. The same people over and over again are being put up on the front page simply because they draw likable characters or have been on once before so everyone keeps going back to them.
